Q&A

Everything you need to know before requesting a quote.

Which type of glass do you recommend for environments with high temperatures or chemical exposure?

For demanding applications we often recommend borosilicate 3.3: it has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, superior thermal-shock resistance, and excellent chemical durability. Depending on your specs, we may also evaluate tempered soda-lime or fused quartz.
Send us your drawing and service conditions (°F/°C, chemistry, cycles), and we’ll identify the most suitable material right away.

Can we have holes, complex cuts, and tight tolerances?

Yes. We machine holes, slots, and CNC-shaped contours with edge finishes (seamed, pencil, polished), meeting design tolerances and complying with tempered/heat-treated glass standards to prevent stress points.
Share your DXF/DWG file and required tolerances – we’ll verify feasibility and lead time.

What are the pressure and temperature limits for inspection sight glasses?

The limits depend on the material, thickness, clear diameter, and the device housing. We select the sight glass according to the required process ratings (with a safety margin) and propose certified configurations for the intended operating conditions.
Specify the maximum pressure/temperature and fluid type, and we’ll size and recommend the correct assembly.

Does the technical screen printing resist solvents, abrasion, and heat?

We use inks and firing cycles suited to your conditions. We validate adhesion with standard tests (3M 810 tape, alcohol/gasoline exposure) and recommend a pilot run for critical applications.
Send us your specifications and required protocols: we’ll prepare samples and a test report.

Is your glass compliant with safety standards?

We design and manufacture in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., EN 12150 for tempered glass, EN 12600 for impact; ASTM/ANSI/CPSC where required) and provide certifications and batch traceability upon request.
Let us know the regulatory body or target market – we’ll align specifications and documentation accordingly.

Do you also handle custom orders or ongoing supply agreements?

Yes. We work with companies that require small custom batches as well as industrial clients needing continuous or drawing-based supplies. We provide technical consulting, rapid prototyping, and dedicated project management to ensure consistent quality and reliable delivery times – including for international customers.
